I have read and read and read all over the web trying to isolate the actual cause of this problem.
The biggest problem I have in isolating it is that it ONLY happens in the morning during my first power on. After it FINALLY comes on after 10-30 minutes I don't have the problem anymore so I cannot troubleshoot. Once it comes on...everything runs perfectly.
In all my years of building machines and with my moderate to deep knowledge of computers....I am truly for the first time STUMPED....and this is after DAYS of research.
It happens on vga, dvi, and hdmi. Monitor only takes vga and dvi but I use an adapter. I have switched cables. I have unplugged and replugged at every stage. I have switched on and off. I have adjusted every relevant BIOS settings one at a time.
I hear windows log on, but screen says no signal. Sometimes if I leave it alone it will come on.... sometimes it will not.
My last resort is to update my monitor. But I think I would have to be committed to an asylum if I buy a new monitor and the same issue happens.
